Being unemployed gives you a lot of time to think about what your next step in life is going to be. Once your mind pretty much draws a blank, you let it wander and that’s when the really important questions come bubbling to the surface. Here are some things to ponder:

Remember the Wonder Twins from the old Super Friends cartoon? Zan could turn into some form of water, while his sister Jayna could turn into any animal she wanted. Every once in a while you would see her turn into an eagle and Zan would be a bunch of water that she carried around in a bucket. You could even see his face in the water. When Jayna would be flying holding the bucket in her talons, drops of water would be spilling out of it. Yet when they turned back into the Wonder Twins, Zan always looked the same. Shouldn’t he have been missing a finger or a toe or something?

What exactly are Reindeer Games anyway? Antlers in the pants? Hooves and ladders?  In hindsight, the beginning of the end for Ben Affleck?

Do you think once Waldo realized that kids weren’t having trouble finding him but just didn’t want to anymore, he re-invented himself as Harry Potter?

And speaking of Waldo, is it just me or does anyone else think that Dora is his and Carmen San Diego’s illegitimate love child? I mean think about it. Everyone was looking for Carmen San Diego and Waldo. And what is Dora? An explorer.  Someone who is searching for something. Her real parents perhaps? Why do you think Waldo was hiding all the time? I bet so he wouldn’t have to pay child support. Then he hits it big as Harry Potter and doesn’t even send Dora a check now and then. Hell, he could at least buy the poor kid a designer purse so she doesn’t have to carry that stupid backpack around all of the time. But does Dora complain? Nope, she perseveres with a smile on her face, going on her adventures while teaching us all some life lessons along the way. All the while hoping to find her deadbeat parents who abandoned her. Hmmmm….
